Core Gift Discovery

What does it feel like to live in purpose?

The difference between a SKILL and a GIFT:

Skill: Something you can do. You can practice and develop it, or just be really good at something, like a job. We like to have skills. It may make us feel competent or respected. Skills are good.

Gift: Something you love to do. It increases your energy, curiosity, it connects you to your unique purpose.

And now a CORE GIFT is:

Your most valued gift. It increases your energy when you do it, it connects you to your purpose in life, and it’s made stronger by your life difficulties.

What’s a Core Gift?

Your Core Gift is the unique offering you have to share with others. It is connected to and strengthened by your life experiences—particularly your challenges. Knowing your Core Gift means you can better share it with others, provides focus to your sense of purpose and well-being, and guides your decision-making on the path forward. It develops throughout your lifetime, and becomes more impactful each time you face new challenges and learn more about how you are uniquely you.

Discovering your Core Gifts means that you can:

  • make decisions in all areas of your life that align with you.

  • feel strong, confident and hopeful when connecting with yourself.

  • feel connected with others.

  • feel a sense of belonging, safety and hope during difficult times.

The Core Gift Interview process is 1.5 hours that focuses on open-ended questions which facilitate deep, experiential connection to your values, purpose, and resilience. From there, a Core Gift statement is developed. Two follow-up coaching sessions are included in this process for you, to support in your integration, insights, and goals moving forward.

A Core Gift statement is useful for self-empowerment, self-esteem, career/work, relationships, and community.

YOUR CORE GIFT IS SOMETHING YOU SHARE WITH THE WORLD, and IN TURN, IT BRINGS YOU HEALING.

The process:

Understanding and using our gifts is both an old and a new idea. Many ancient cultures and faith traditions used specific
methods to identify and use gifts in their members. Now, modern neuroscience and positive psychology have proven that individuals thrive when they are able to find meaning in their lives by knowing and giving their gifts.

P.S. Brainspotting not only supports further discovery and exploration into past struggles, pain points, and negative core beliefs, but also supports the integration of the Core Statement more deeply.
